Julia-roberts

Julia Fiona Roberts was born in Atlanta on October 28, 1967 in the home of Betty Lou Bredemus and Walter Grady Roberts. She is the fourth Roberts generation that has lived in Atlanta, beginning with her grandfather who was a farmer, John Pendleton Roberts. Her father was interested in theatre since a young stage. He acted on his Emory University campus in 1952 and also in a variety of productions that were staged around Atlanta. He joined the Air Force and while stationed in Biloxi in Mississippi acted in a production with Betty Lou Bredemus. In 1955, the couple got married and their child Eric Anthony was born. In 1957 the couple left the Air Force and Walter began his studies in Tulane University in New Orleans Louisiana. The family relocated in 1960 into Decatur Georgia where Walter began working at Atlanta's Academy Theater and the Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio. In 1964, Walter and Betty Lou began production on the local Saturday morning children's television program called Bum Bum and His Buddies that they funded their own. In 1964, Walter and Betty Lou founded the Actors and Writers Workshop. The workshop lasted six years. They also had Lelisa Billingsley (also called Lisa) and Julia (also also known as Julie) in this time.
