DMX
Earl Simmons (December 18, 1970 until April 9 2021) was known as DMX, was an American actor and rapper. His debut album It's Hot and Dark was released in 1998 to great critical and commercial popularity. It sold over 251,000 copies within the first week. In 1999, DMX released... and Then There Was X. It included the hit song "Party up (Up in Here). His singles from 2003, "Where is the Hood At?" Commercially and his singles from 2003 "Where the Hood is at?" and "X Gon Give It to Ya" were also very success. He was also the first artist to be No.1 on the Billboard 200 chart five consecutive times. [7] DMX sold more than 74 million albums in the world. 8 DMX was in films like Belly, Romeo Must Die and Exit Wounds. He appeared as DMX: Soul of a Man in the 2006 reality TV show. It was mostly telecast on the BET cable television network Never Die Alone. He released E.A.R.L., his memoirs in 2003. The Autobiography of DMX. [9] DMX began his journey in the music industry at 14 as a beatboxer at Ready Ron. After getting a sentence for the stealing of an animal, he began to write lyrics of his own. He also performed at a local recreation center for children younger than 14 years old. While in prison , he was convicted of carjacking. he spent the majority of his time writing lyrics. He also began to rap with K.Solo. After being released that summer the rapper began making and selling mixtapes of his own where he performed raps over instrumentals from other songs and sold them on streets, which helped him build a local fan base across New York. Percee P and DMX appeared on The Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito Show 1991, on which they performed freestyles. [1515 DMX will soon release a demo tape featuring "Spellbound" as well as "Critical Condition", Three Little Pigs", The Original Author of Spellbound, and "Unstoppable Force" later in the year. The design was like Big Daddy Kane's and Rakim's, however it was different from his later material. Three years ago, The Source magazine praised DMX for his Unsigned Hype column, which featured hip hop artists who were not signed. In 1994, he released "Make A Move" the second single from his debut album. Jay-Z, Ja Rules, and Mic Gérardo were featured as guests on the underground classic "Time to Build" by Mic Geronimo in the year 1995. DMX died of a heart attack caused by cocaine on the 9th of April, 2021.
